Akita Caravan Music Fes (ACMF) is a two-day outdoor music celebration hosted by renowned singer-songwriter Yu Takahashi, held annually in Akita Prefecture throughout September.
Yu Takahashi, the event organizer, hails from Akita Prefecture - an area known for having Japan's highest population decline and aging rates. With assistance from Akita Prefecture and Yokote City, Yu has been appointed as the "Akita Music Ambassador" to ensure that the first-ever event took place in his hometown.
The Akita Caravan Music Fes debuted in 2016 in Yokote City, featuring a lineup of remarkable talent, including Sakura Fujiwara, Begin, Be Bright, Yu Takahashi, Doburokazu, and Ayano Fukuda. Since then, it has been drawing crowds from all over to witness outstanding performances!
Inspired by the renowned "Uta no Hi Concert" sponsored by BEGIN, which saw Yu Takashi take to the stage himself, Akita Caravan Music Fes promises a wide array of performers - from its main attraction 'Shirakami Stage' to other esteemed entertainers. With an additional 'Chokai Stage' titled as such, it is set for expansion into 13 cities all over Akita annually with varied venues each year!
Special buses and trains will run from major cities to the venue to make attending the festival more convenient. Additionally, shuttle buses are available from nearby stations and parking lots, while a designated pick-up/drop-off area is situated close by for guests' convenience.
