Otohige, a live music event that is rooted in the TV program "Ongaku to Hige," has been occurring annually since 1996 in Niigata Prefecture and is hosted by Kyodo Hokuriku. Even though the original show aired its last episode on June 24, 2008, this beloved event remains alive and well for musicians who have appeared on it and those who haven't! In 2022, the event was held with the theme "My Home Town."
Some big names that have performed at this event are King Gnu, CNBLUE, SUPER BEAVER, sumika, Vaundy, miwa, BE:FIRST, My Hair is Bad, SEKAI NO OWARI, Perfume, MAN WITH A MISSION, and WANIMA.
