The German-Danish event is now an integral part of the festival scene in the border region. folkBALTICA inspires its visitors with folk, jazz, and world music performed by international artists. They also have the folkBALTICA Ensemble, a youth ensemble for musical talents from both sides of the Danish-German border. The aim is to actively foster the growth of skill in Southern Denmark and Schleswig-Holstein, to continue traditional music in the region, and to contribute to intercultural youth work in the area.
