La Nuit de l'Erdre is among the most renowned festivals in France's Great West and one of the most prominent contemporary music gatherings held within Pays de la Loire.
In 1998, the Nort-Sur-Erdre Festival Committee was looking for an inspiring way to commemorate its 50th anniversary. After deliberating on various options, they finally decided to organize a memorable concert featuring Tri Yann, scheduled for July 14th.
As time passed, the La Nuit de l'Erdre music festival kept flourished. Originally a concert, it expanded to two days and then three as it moved to more enormous grounds and employed its first workers. Additionally, several hundred volunteers eagerly joined forces with the event. (Les Insus, Soprano, Shaka Ponk) and international headliners (Sting, The Chemical Brothers, Manu Chao La Ventura) graced the stage and made this musical gathering even more special!
Present day, La Nuit de l'Erdre is an esteemed gathering in the Great West and one of the most prominent contemporary music festivals in Pays de la Loire. Yearly, nearly 80,000 people join forces for four days and nights of positive energy, friendliness, and good music. At the crux of this event is a network of dedicated volunteers from all ages and backgrounds, numbering about 2,000 strong.
