The Dark Troll Festival is an annual music festival that comes alive at Schweinsburg Castle Ruins in Bornstedt, a beautiful area in the Mansfeld-Südharz district of Saxony-Anhalt. This musical extravaganza offers a unique opportunity to experience Germany's vibrant culture through its wide selection of eclectic music genres.
Launched in June 2009, the Black Troll Festival sought to create a unique gathering of Pagan, Viking, Folk, and Black Metal enthusiasts. In May 2013, it was relaunched as the Dark Troll Festival under new management at its original site. This festival has grown from two days in 2013 to three since 2014, providing even more opportunities for attendees to experience this unique event!
From May 18th to 20th, 2023, the 12th Dark Troll Festival will come alive in Burgruine Bornstedt. This festival will feature some of Europe's brightest and most talented acts, including KromleK, Frost, Firn, Necrophobic, Vanaheim, Saor, Waylander, and Primordial. Come witness, an incredible experience performing alongside a star-studded lineup for three days straight!
