In Aurich, rock and pop music are loved by many; however, only a few local bands get the chance to reach their potential. Most musicians don't have access to larger crowds and rarely step outside of their hometowns. But Let The Bad Times Roll is here for them! This association organizes workshops for those just starting out. It hosts an annual festival with the same name, so talented young artists can show off what they've got. With this initiative in place, no longer will these incredible talents go unseen or unheard!
On June 23 and 24, 2023, Let the Bad Times Roll will return with its 15th annual edition of their renowned rock festival! Let The Bad Times Roll – Open Air Manslagt 2023 is an opportunity to meet friends, camp out, and indulge in delicious food and drinks while rocking out to 21 local, regional, and international bands on two stages. Manslagt's green meadow awaits your presence as it promises unparalleled excitement for all who attend—let the bad times roll!
It all began in 2007 when over 70 guests and a band gathered together late into the night to celebrate with an improvised stage set up in the Garden. This sparked the idea for a larger festival—one that provided large stages, professional sound and light equipment, food, drinks, camping accommodations, and, of course, lots of fun! After gathering other helpers on board for 2008's private event at Kuhweide in Manslagt, it went off without a hitch—2 nights filled with 8 bands performing! Finally, 2011 marked its debut as the Let The Bad Times Roll Open-Air Festival; 11 incredible acts entertained 300+ attendees, sparking ever-growing popularity each year since then.
