The Amiata Piano Festival was established in 2005 on the slopes of Monte Amiata by Stefan Giesen and Maurizio Baglini. The festival has always been renowned in the international music scene and takes place in a breathtakingly beautiful landscape accompanied by exceptional wine.
In 2006, two successful concerts were held, which led to a collaboration with ColleMassari. This collaboration received support from the Bertarelli Foundation in 2009 and resulted in Nuova Amitata Emozioni, an association focused on promoting the Monte Amiata region.
Maurizio Baglini has been the artistic director of the Amiata Piano Festival since 2011, which has since become one of the most prestigious international music events in the area. The festival receives support from major media outlets and has gained a growing following among music lovers. The Nuova Amiata Emozioni Association organizes the festival with permission from the Bertarelli Foundation.
