Get ready to mark your calendars: The 2023 Flowers Festival is just around the corner and will take place in the Cortile della Lavanderia, a Vapore of Parco Della Certosa di Collegno (TO)!
The Flowers Festival, an iconic event for the city and one of the most prominent national festivals, is promoted by Hiroshima Mon Amour Cultural Association and Biancaneve Cultural Cooperative in collaboration with Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo. The Ministry of Culture has already expressed its patronage for it. In contrast, the City of Collegno, the Metropolitan City Of Turin, and the Piedmont Region are offering their support to this summer extravaganza, which will be made possible through Iren Sustainability Partner's contribution.
The highly anticipated Flowers Festival is a music event hosted in the picturesque Certosa Park of Collegno (To) and can cater to up to 5,000 spectators. The performance area is the Cortile della Lavanderia - an acoustically sound space enclosed by two architectural structures that are part of Collegno's urban redesign projects. Lavanderia a Vapore and Pavilion 14 will bring admiration, joy, and international contemporary dance excellence to cultural youth centers!
Since its demolishment, the walls of Collegno Asylum have been host to many theatrical and musical performances. This year's Flowers Festival continues this long-standing tradition as it celebrates in what was once the asylum's Courtyard of Laundry. This tradition has continued for two thousand years now, thanks to public administration initiatives dedicated to reviving this remarkable place.
