Since its inception in 2015, Disco Diva has become a significant event celebrating the 70s disco scene. Conceived by Cristina Tassinari, Gabicce - home of Italy's first discos - is alive again with original and cover bands and prominent DJs playing to larger crowds each year. The festival continues to expand as it pays homage to classic disco music icons.
The incredible performance of The Trammps marked Disco Diva's 2018 edition, which resulted in an enormous boost in attendance. This event saw a tremendous media response from outlets like Mediaset's Studio Aperto, multiple Rai newscasts, and Sky and Centro Marche TV. National radio stations such as Rai Radio 2, StudioPiù, and regional ones, including Radio Veronica, had all covered this excellent occasion!
In 2020, a "Limited Edition" was specially created as part of Disco Diva charity initiatives and adapted based on the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. In 2021 this initiative expanded Disco Diva, GUCCI, and C2C - all already initiated in 2020 but put on hold due to COVID-19's disruption. Disco Diva aims to raise the quality standard in festival offerings with these programs!
