After the creative minds of DJ Hades and Aleera De Lune crafted a plan for Malta's first Gothic Festival, Dark Malta Festival came to life in 2018. This event featured an impressive ensemble of performers headlined by Diary of Dreams and Gothminister. Dark Malta Festival is the only Gothic/Industrial/Metal festival on the island today!
In 2019, the Festival returned with an incredible two-day event headlined by And One and Lord of the Lost. Additionally, fans enjoyed performances from Suicide Commando, Clan of Xymox, Aesthetic Perfection, Alien Vampires, and more rocking Malta's Darkest Festival. The Festival quickly became a popular destination for music enthusiasts who wanted to combine their love for music with a beautiful Mediterranean holiday experience in one of the most historic countries known for its stunning climate.
The Festival returned in 2022 with an epic 3-day event at Gianpula Village Main Room. Boasting a jaw-dropping lineup of Covenant, Moonspell, Combichrist and their exclusive Old School Electronic Show, Agonoize, Nachtmahr, Leaether Strip, Ash Code, Nosferatu, Sulpher, Alien, Vampires, and many more, sure it was a fantastic nights!
Please mark the calendars. On April 22-24, 2023, Dark Malta will return to celebrate its fourth anniversary with a three-day weekend. This special event will include more than 25 international bands and DJs, pool parties, after-parties, art exhibitions, merchandise areas, and more!
