Seventeen teams were ready to go in 2007 for the inaugural 24-uurs Solexrace Festival in Heeswijk-Dinther and were still determining what would come of it. Seventeen years later, the festive event has become a special celebration for cross racers, young talent, and those who love a good party! In addition to the main festivities at the 24-uurs Solexrace Festival, since 2012, is Brascross, where people as young as five can participate on mopeds, dirt bikes, quads, or cars. A truly unique experience that everyone should try at least once!
This year, this festival is delighted to welcome over 240 contestants from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and England in Heeswijk-Dinther for the 24-uurs Solexrace Festival! On August 25th - 27th, festival-goers can enjoy five distinct areas of music with something for everyone. Plus, people can slide to two cafes, a party tent, and a bull barn during this fun yet crazy race! Take the chance to join in all the laughter at what is sure to be an unforgettable event.
Come one, come all, and witness a spectacle you will remember: the races start at 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 26th! This will be an á la Le Mans-style kick-off where participants have to run 600 meters after hearing the gun to get themselves in their respective Solex vehicles lined up and numbered awaiting them. Don't miss this epic event!
Subsequently, every team will do their utmost to traverse as many kilometers as possible in 24 hours. Not only are prizes and everlasting glory for the winners, but also donations of €150 per team for KiKa, a charitable organization dedicated to childhood cancer. More than €335,000 has been raised in recent years, an impressive feat that all teams strive to exceed this year!
