Since 2008, Mari van der Velden and Charles van Liempd have been responsible for reinvigorating the Wapen Van Liempde with its Annual Wind Band Festival. This event takes place each year on the first Saturday of November - a tradition at risk of becoming forgotten when the original organizers had to step down. Thanks to their dedication, this special evening continues to live on in honor of Ad Schelle, who still runs the beloved venue where it took place.
Charles and Mari had more ambitious dreams than simply blowing up chapels; they were eager to enlist allies in their mission. On November 1, 2008, the lineup featured Nootstaat (with Charles and Mari among them), Five Lane Frizz (the youth band), Voices choir, and Go Rome band, followed by Load Band. Maarten Termeer (as soundman) and Kees Berkelmans held it all together to round off the evening, drawing a large crowd of attendees!
The inaugural edition of the festival Limuscene was a reality.
Deliciously wanting more, "Terug in den Ted" collaborated with Limuscene to use their tent on Whit Monday. After consulting Harry Hobbelen, the sound was all set, so Liempdse Music Scene (Limuscene for short) came into being!
On May 31, 2009, Limuscene's second edition sparked the beginning of something special. Word began to spread, and more people discovered Concordia Park for a new experience like no other. This event marked the birth of an unforgettable event!
The Festival Limuscene proudly provides regional artists with a stage equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and sound technology. The audience numbers have grown yearly; in 2016, the festival welcomed an estimated one thousand people to the show!

Unfortunately, due to the effects of Corona, Limuscene Live couldn't take place on Whit Monday in 2020 and 2021. However, in 2021, there was a special autumn edition, "Limuscene: Back to the Kroeg," on October 16! Hap & Stap Bij de Buren, De Durpsherberg, and Het Wapen van Liempde collaborated to bring the attendees' entertainment pleasure.
