The Schippop Music Festival has been a popular celebration in the Dutch town of Schipluiden since its inception in 1999 as part of the Ascension Day celebrations. It was founded with an aspiration to provide local bands with their unique platform, and it soon flourished into a renowned event that stands on its own two feet.
Starting as a small-town event in Schipluiden, the free festival has evolved into an esteemed festivity with widespread recognition. Each year, it continues to expand its location and welcomes more visitors - from 300 attendees back in 1999 to now over 2000 people!
