Each year, during the week of Easter, Misteria Paschalia—one of Europe's most esteemed early music festivals—takes place. This event was first established in 2004 following the idea of Filip Berkowicz and organized by KBF. It features some of the most captivating musical scores created between medieval times and the eighteenth century, magnificently presented by renowned interpreters of ancient melodies.

Reconstructing and re-discovering centuries of spiritual music, the program celebrates Christian roots in European culture by showcasing masterpieces from acclaimed composers as well as lesser-known works that have shaped classical music. Do not miss out on this unique opportunity to explore a plethora of musical gems with brand-new interpretations created through intensive research!

For the past three years, Misteria Paschalia Music Festival has been dedicated to a distinct European cultural phenomenon and directed by an artist-in-residence. 2020 celebration centered around Protestant music of Northern and Central Europe with French director Raphaël Pichon at the helm of Pygmalion Ensemble. However, due to COVID-19 regulations, the in-person events had to be canceled. On the bright side, this gave birth to the first wholly online festival, Misteria Paschalia 2.0, that enabled audiences from all over the world to experience this fantastic musical event!

Don't miss out on the upcoming 20th anniversary edition of Misteria Paschalia 2023 from April 4–16! This is a unique opportunity to reminisce and celebrate the past two decades of this festival's history, its impact on early music in Poland, and all that it has given the audience. So let's rejoice together on this monumental occasion!
