With a reputation as the oldest rock festival in all of Portugal and throughout the Iberian Peninsula, EDP Vilar de Mouros has been captivating audiences since 1965. Starting off with traditional folk music from Alto Minho and Galicia regions, the Festival gradually began to expand its musical curation by inviting artists outside this region in 1968. Finally making its mark on history in 1971 – famously known as "Portuguese Woodstock" – EDP Vilar de Mouros continues to be an event that highlights innovative sounds for generations to come.
