Posada Rock is Romania's longest-running rock music festival, taking place annually in Câmpulung Muscel. This charming town sits at an elevation of 580 – 600 m, only two hours south of Bucharest, and spans 11.7 square kilometers with a population of 40,000 people full of culture.
In 1986, the inaugural Posada Rock festival illuminated Câmpulung Muscel for three days with its competition-style celebration of Romania's underground music scene. As time went on, renowned names from Romanian rock made their mark at the legendary venue--and in turn, many developing artists have been propelled to stardom thanks to this special open-air event.
Posada Rock has evolved over the years to become a premier international rock festival hosting world-renowned rock music names. Held at Municipal Stadium in Câmpulung Muscel on the first weekend of September, this event is organized by the Rock Culture Association with support from Câmpulung City Hall and priority funding from the Ministry of Culture for Romania. It serves as an essential platform for underground talent and promises to be one memorable experience year after year!
