The world-renowned Guča Trumpet Festival, or Dragačevski Sabor Trubača in Serbian, is a yearly brass band celebration held in the small town of Guča close to Čačak city. It is only a three-hour car ride away from Belgrade. During the festival, you can enjoy fantastic performances by some of Serbia's best brass bands and experience this unique event like never before.
Every August, the village of Guca welcomes 600,000 visitors from Serbia and abroad for its renowned Guča Trumpet Festival. Despite its small population size of 2,000 citizens, this four-day event has been held since 1961 and is considered one of the world's biggest music festivals and the most renowned trumpet competitions.
Guča Trumpet Festival is made all the more special with its annual Golden Trumpet competition, where twenty-four musicians battle it for top honors. This festival program also features former winners performing three of their hit tunes! The atmosphere is further enlivened by colorful folk dancers performing kolo and oro in front of an enthusiastic crowd – making this one unforgettable experience you won't want to miss! So, mark your calendar for August 11-13!
