BLUES FESTIVALS SWITZERLAND 2023

Since the mid-1990s, Baden locals have enjoyed a touch of blues music every last Thursday in their local Bluus Club Baden. This sparked an idea—what if that same musical experience could be extended for an entire week? And thus, Bluesfestival Baden was born — offering residents and visitors alike the chance to revel in the joyous sounds of blues music each year at its annual event.

When the first blues festival was held in 2004, it was propelled by a vision and enthusiasm. The city of Baden's cultural diversity had already contributed to its vibrancy and made the event a surefire success. In no time, an impressive number of festival-goers arrived at this unique gathering which earned recognition all over Switzerland.

For years, the Bluesfestival Baden has positioned itself as one of Switzerland's most diverse and intriguing cultural celebrations. For over 17 years, the festival and its organizing committee have grown infinitely. For three consecutive years, this festival has been nominated for the Swiss Blues Awards and even won a prize in 2012!
