For over sixty years, the Gstaad Menuhin Festival has provided classical music fans a unique and unforgettable experience. Each year from mid-July to early September, esteemed international artists and orchestras take center stage in historic churches throughout Saanenland and at the much-loved festival tent in Gstaad. Drawing 26,000 visitors each year since its inception by Yehudi Menuhin in 1957, this spectacular event is now masterfully led by Artistic Director Christoph Müller.

It was 1957 when the Menuhin family moved to Gstaad and launched the very first iteration of what is now known as Menuhin Festival Gstaad. This seven-week event offers an impressive selection of renowned soloists and ensembles, with more than 50 concerts taking place throughout its duration.

Mark your calendars for the 67th edition of the Gstaad Menuhin Festival, coming July 14 - September 2, 2023!

After numerous years of exploration through Europe's music hotspots, it is time to encounter something new! This festival will envelop themes such as social transformation, climate change, and future topics. Therefore, the festival has several great axes: "Humility," "Transformation," and "Migration." These are all elements that Patricia Kopatchinskaja has expertly curated with her concert series "Music for the Planet." It's a stellar opportunity to explore these societal matters musically in the upcoming three editions of the festival together!

Gstaad Menuhin Festival's goal is to use the power of its program and performances to rally audiences together in a heartfelt exploration of humility. It seeks to create an enriching, beautiful summer filled with music that will foster meaningful conversations and share joyous moments for everyone involved.
