Every year in Val Lumnezia, a picturesque valley surrounded by 360 degrees of gorgeous mountain ranges, the Swiss Open Air Lumnezia music festival takes place and creates an unforgettable experience. With its large crowds and deep-rooted history, this is one event that festivalgoers should not miss!
It all began with a small rock concert in the Davos Munts area near Vattiz, organized by the Lumnezia organization and spearheaded by several young members of its team. The journey to establishing this open-air event was serendipitous. While on their club trip to central Switzerland, they encountered Angi Burri and his band, who made such an impression that it spurred them to create something similar back home. Thus, the idea for a mountain festival in Graubünden arose!
Each year, the Val Lumnezia near Degen welcomes one of Switzerland's biggest open-air festivals, Open Air Lumnezia. The second to last weekend in July marks this special event and draws countless visitors from all over the country.
