Slam Dunk originated from The Cockpit in Leeds and began as a pop-punk club night in the early 2000s. Recognizing this success, Slam Dunk quickly organized international tours for bands such as Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Panic! at The Disco to play there.
Shortly after launching these events, their ambition of creating something larger became a reality with the establishment of the Slam Dunk Festival. This spectacular event has since continued to enthrall audiences worldwide.
What started as a single Slam Dunk Festival in 2006 has transformed into an unforgettable two-day celebration. This year, the northern edition will be held at Leeds, and its southern counterpart debuting now for ten years will run at the University of Hertfordshire! Together known as Slam Dunk North (Leeds) and South (Hertfordshire), this vibrant music extravaganza continues to captivate fans from near and far!
