Nurtured by a collective affinity for music and the town of Lechlade, conversations in the Crown Inn inspired what is now known as the beloved Lechlade Music Festival. This festival was envisioned as an inexpensive, enjoyable, and family-oriented weekend. They are also committed to establishing a scholarship fund to enable local youth to attain music education opportunities. As a not-for-profit organization, its success is made possible through the generous help of sponsorships from local businesses and volunteers alike!
Despite a few gusty May winds, the 2011 Festival was an absolute triumph, and 1600+ people were able to bask in live music and family-friendly activities! The event received great encouragement from the local community, proving it to be an unforgettable weekend.
The multi-award winning, family-friendly Lechlade Festival takes place from Friday, 26th May 2023, to Sunday, 28th May 2023! This incredible event boasts three delightful days of live music and entertainment, with over 100+ bands & performers, burlesque acts, comedy performances, and much more.
This free, family-friendly festival offers a full slate of workshops for kids and adults, including circus skills, music & dance classes, arts & crafts activities, and relaxation techniques. The shopping village provides an array of food stalls and retail outlets. Ride attractions, games, and costumed characters keep the little ones occupied while parents savor delicious meals ranging from artisanal ales to ciders--all accompanied by camping or glamping options!
