UK Tech-Metal Fest was born on the 29th of August 2011 to create a safe space for musical exploration and creativity. This festival, focusing on technical, progressive metal music, has been designed to give up-and-coming bands in the subgenre an opportunity to showcase their skills alongside some highly talented acts from across the globe. UK Tech-Fest is more than just another metal event; fans and musicians can come together with passion and connection as they explore fresh sounds.

After all, that hard work by bands throughout the festival comes energetic after parties at night from 11 pm - 2 am, where cover bands will take center stage alongside even more performers, and don't forget about Techeoke (karaoke but Tech-Fest style!).
Newark Showground's stages are conveniently located in hangars, providing shelter from the rain. Moreover, you can choose to camp or not according to your preference! The area is accessible for all festival goers with disabilities, and its flat terrain ensures a comfortable experience. To top it off? There will be no unsightly portaloos here; indoor toilets and showers will be available on-site for everyone's convenience!
