Pig's Ear Folk Ale is passionate about folk music - its traditional sounds, modern renditions, and cross-cultural hybrids. That's why the festival features a nuanced lineup that pays homage to the genre's evolution while emphasizing its foundational influences. This festival strives to create a platform where audiences can experience folk music in one place. From classic acts to innovative new styles from across the globe, be prepared for an unforgettable journey through timeless tunes!
All festival-goers are encouraged to seize the moment and share their craft with a live audience! The Open Mic will allow artists and anyone to showcase their passion as they take center stage under the exceptional supervision of a sound engineer.
Along with the main stage, this festival is delighted to introduce a new area for revelry and entertainment - The Pub. The Folk Ale regulars will recognize this space in its reincarnation as the old main stage tent. Furthermore, a third tent has been set aside for music sessions where everyone can play music together! This festival is jam-packed with activities and entertainment for the little ones - from craft to circus shows, there's something fun for everyone! This festival also brings back the much-loved tradition: The Pig's Ear country walk. On Saturday morning, you can take some time to explore this stunning countryside in Kent while connecting with nature.
