The LeeStock Music Festival, formally known as LeeFest, has been held in Long Melford, Suffolk, since 2006 to honor the memory of local man Lee Dunford who passed away that same year. This extraordinary event donates its proceeds to Willow Foundation - a national charity that provides special days for seriously ill young adults.
Along with the festival are other fundraising events such as pub crawls, football matches, and Twenty20 cricket games, all working toward raising awareness of The Willow Foundation's mission while collecting much-needed funds for them. By 2012, this fantastic musical festival had already donated over £25 000 to deserving causes!
In 2011, LeeStock presented two renowned indie bands, Dodgy and Mark Morriss (former lead singer of The Bluetones), as their headline acts for a weekend celebration held on 28th -29th May at White Horse public house in Sudbury. Additionally, it showcased numerous famous musical talents from all over Britain. The next year is no joke either, it was a feast of lineup. The event even held held in the more famous King's Marsh stadium of A.F.C Sudbury due to its success and popularity after selling out at the previous year's event.
Celebrate the return of live music and join LeeStock's family-friendly weekend festival on May 27th & 28th, 2023, at Kentwell Hall. Delight in a gorgeous backdrop while enjoying good tunes with an even greater cause! After the year the festival had, nothing will bring more joy than gathering together to enjoy some fantastic music and support a worthy mission - it doesn't get any better!
