In 2007, Antonio Singh began the Boquete Jazz Festival. Seven years later, in 2011, Hans-J. Lebuser took over and added Blues acts to the lineup and changed its name to the Boquete Jazz & Blues Festival. Since 2012, Boquete Jazz & Blues Festival has consistently featured highly esteemed Latin jazz bands from Central and South America and other regions across the globe bringing classic blues performances.
With an extensive group of passionate, music-loving volunteers at the ready, these festivals are renowned as some of the most significant musical events ever held in the Chiriqui highlands. From far and wide— Panama, Central & South America, the USA, and Europe —visitors flock to join this festival for a weekend filled with incredible live tunes! Boquete Jazz & Blues Festival has come from humble beginnings but is now cemented on global calendars, not only across Panama but recognized by blues & jazz lovers worldwide.
