Since its inception in 1981, FitzGerald's American Music Festival has skyrocketed from a three-band gathering to an acclaimed four-day festival that draws thousands of music aficionados yearly. This homage to Roots Music and backyard cooking not only appeals to hardcore fans but also families and foodies alike. It's the annual joyous celebration for all we love and admire, with lots of good times included!
For more than a century, FitzGerald's has been the go-to spot for communal gatherings. Initially functioning as a hunting lodge and sports team headquarters until 1925, it eventually evolved into The Hunt Club in the 1950s–featuring renowned artists like Turk Murphy, Bob Scobey, and Lil Armstrong. After its closure later on down the line, 6615 W. Roosevelt Road was revamped to include pool tables and even an authentic fortune teller - receiving its current name of Deer Lodge along with it!
