For over thirty years, the King Biscuit Blues Festival has been an irrefutable leader in blues music celebrations. Every October, thousands of fans from around the nation gather in downtown Helena, Arkansas, for three days full of uplifting performances alongside the Mississippi River. This breathtaking backdrop serves as a reminder of musical history.

The experienced Main Street directors suggested that community festivals be created to get the locals back into town and promote tourism simultaneously. Taking this advice, a group of blues enthusiasts banded together as the Sonny Boy Blues Society, forming the inaugural King Biscuit Blues Festival Planning Committee.

In 2005, the committee experienced a setback due to licensing issues and was compelled to abandon the King Biscuit name and instead opted for Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival. Nevertheless, on this festival's 25th anniversary, leaders started looking into reclaiming their original name. By chance, Wolfgang's Vault had acquired ownership over the trademarked title. Yet, once they got familiar with its background story and how substantial it is for the festival team -they willingly allowed them to resume using it! Fast-forward to 2023, and the King Biscuit Blues Festival will commemorate its 30th anniversary in Helena, Arkansas! With more than 120 vibrant shots of headline performers, street musicians, audiences, and the place where everything comes together - it'll make for a memorable experience.
