Established in 2004 at Hallock, Minn., the Kick'n Up Kountry music festival became a special event from 2007 to 2010 when the festival's organizer held it annually at the Pennington County Fairgrounds in Thief River Falls. In 2011, they cleverly shifted their three-day festivity to mid-June instead of Labor Day Weekend - an alteration welcomed by locals and tourists alike!
