Every year, tens of thousands of individuals come together in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada for a week-long celebration dedicated to self-expression and community. These participants are dubbed "burners" as they construct and join a temporary city known as Black Rock City--a place created through collaboration between all attendees that endures solely for the time spent at Burning Man.
The Burning Man Project, a non-profit established in 2014, is responsible for the Black Rock City event and created ten principles as guiding tenets to bring the Burning Man vision to life. These principles are devoted to self-reliance, civic responsibility, immediate participation, and more. All that reflects the community's culture and ethos by stressing the importance of inclusivity, gifting with no strings attached, practicing sustainability while taking part, and leaving behind no trace.
Spanning over 4,000 acres of the famous Nevada playa, Burning Man is a captivating cultural experience with no spectators or corporate sponsors; only patrons and staff contribute to its success. Make sure you take part in this exceptional opportunity now!
