High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival is an annual bluegrass music festival that invites bluegrass fanatics from all over to experience the Wet Mountain Valley's vibrant music scene every July! Small in scale yet grand in quality, this remarkable event features nationally renowned acts while keeping true to its slogan: "Small Scale, Big Time."
Bluff Park, located at the western end of Westcliffe, has a magnificent circus tent that showcases timeless classics and cutting-edge new talent. Bluegrass enthusiasts flock here for the music but stay for its stunning vista of rolling meadows framed by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Not only is this four-day festival set apart by its top performers, but it also features a children's program and workshops that make it enjoyable for the entire family. Plus, late-night jam sessions in the camping area provide an extra layer of entertainment!
Every year, the High Mountain Hay Fever Festival Association - a volunteer-run non-profit organization - organizes the event from which they donate all proceeds to other charitable organizations operating within the Wet Mountain Valley.
