Since 1990, the Byron Bay Bluesfest has been showcasing music from around the world every Easter long weekend. In its first year, Bluesfest entertained 6,000 people and now attracts over 100,000 music fans; it is proudly the premier festival in Australia as a safe, fun, family-friendly event.
In 2010, to make more room for guests wanting to attend the increasingly popular festival, Bluesfest moved to Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm--a permanent home that spans 300 acres. The community event site lies just 11 kilometers north of Byron Bay.
Bluesfest 2023 will include 200 performances on various stages over five days, each lasting twelve hours. The event will also have camping for 6,000 guests, five licensed bars, 100+ food and market stalls, undercover food court areas, beer gardens, and quality family entertainment.
