The Blue Mountains Music Festival of Folk Roots and Blues is held annually at the end of March in Katoomba. On Friday night, it starts with music from 7 pm until late that same evening; Saturday sees performances beginning at 9:30 am and going on until after dark, while Sunday has a shorter schedule starting again at 9:30 am and finishing up by 9:30 pm. This jam-packed weekend consists of seven indoor venues, each hosting over 100 acts!
