It’s time to get ready for the ultimate Kangaroo Island experience! The New Shoots Festival will be back in 2023, the date is slated for March 25th. Three members of the CFS originally conceived this celebratory event during a 2020 fire-ground that inspired them to contribute even more to their community. The trio acknowledged the great challenge of rebuilding and identified an opening for a music festival that would lift Kangaroo Island’s spirits and contribute funds towards those affected by the fires. This event provided not only hope, but also an opportunity for emerging musicians to shine!

Pop-up camping is available at Penneshaw Golf Course as well, ensuring that it’s an enjoyable yet secure atmosphere for people of every age group.
The inaugural New Shoots Music Festival kicked off on Saturday, April 2nd at Penneshaw Oval in Kangaroo Island’s breathtaking landscape! Something For Kate, Jebediah, Bad//Dreems, Ash Grunwald, Maddy Jane, Tilly Tjala Thomas, Rat Tamango, plus talented locals Charlotte Gilfillan & Sam Kempster have all performed at the festival with their captivating performances. It was an amazing event with a powerhouse line-up.
