Whare Flat Folk Festival 2022 is on its way!
Every New Year, the world-renowned Whare Flat Folk Festival takes place over four days at Waiora Scout Camp in Dunedin's Silver Stream Valley. Since 1975, this idyllic music event has been attracting talented musicians from around the globe and offers a unique experience for festival-goers. With it being only 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) away from the city center of Dunedin, you can be sure to take advantage of an incredible show!
At the Whare Flat Folk Festival, attendees not only get to enjoy professional acts but also have the opportunity to hone their music and dance skills in workshops or take part in late-night sessions. Open mic shows are available for those who want to perform as well. The festival encompasses a range of genres within acoustic music - even offering two hours of blues every afternoon!
