In 2016, Bay Dreams was a small festival in Mount Maunganui that only attracted about 5000 people. But today, it has transformed into one of the biggest festivals in New Zealand, drawing crowds of up to 30,000 and expanding to two events - one on the North Island (Mount Maunganui) and one on the South Island (Nelson).
Now celebrating its 8th year, Bay Dreams - North Island is an absolute must-attend event! The upcoming 2023 event is scheduled for the third of January. The line-up features an exciting mix of artists, from Diplo to Denzel Curry, Freddie Gibbs, ONEFOUR, KOVEN, SG Lewis, and Sticky Fingers.
Bay Dreams - North Island Festival is renowned for its eclectic blend of music genres - EDM to hip-hop and everything in between - as well as its creative themes, carnival-type rides, and movie-quality props that make it a destination experience like no other. The organizers are also hugely focused on sustainability and have implemented initiatives to reduce plastic and waste destined for landfills.
