Marking its 8th year as 5X and celebrating 20 years since the inception of the Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration (VIBC), this festival promises an unforgettable week of music, art, and community spirit.

A Week of Cultural Festivities

The 5X Festival 2025 kicks off with an exclusive 20th Anniversary Gala on June 7, honoring two decades of cultural impact and artistic excellence. This invite-only event sets the tone for a week filled with dynamic programming that showcases the richness of Panjabi and South Asian culture.

Art Party and Industry Mixer

On June 13, the 5X Art Party at Beaumont Studios in Vancouver brings together emerging South Asian artists and creators for an immersive experience of visual art and live music. Earlier in the week, on June 12, the 5X Access event, presented by 91 North Records, offers an exclusive industry mixer for artists, community leaders, and creators to connect and celebrate their contributions to the cultural landscape. 

The Blockparty Extravaganza

The festival's highlight, the 5X Blockparty, takes place on June 14 at Surrey Civic Plaza. This free, all-ages event features an impressive lineup of artists, including Talwiinder in his British Columbia debut, Gminxr with special guests, G. Sidhu's first 5X appearance, rising local star Sahil Cheema, and electrifying DJ sets from the UK duo Panjabi Hit Squad and fan-favorite MTooray. 

Afterparty and All Access Pass

For those seeking to extend the celebration, the 5X Afterparty on June 14 offers an underground music experience at a secret location in Surrey, featuring live sets from 3 Kamineh: Kokaheena, Asad Khan, and Bobby Kang. To make the most of the festival, attendees can purchase the All Access Pass, which includes entry to the Art Party, Blockparty VIP section, and Afterparty, along with a complimentary 5X t-shirt.
