Get ready to hear the music and mingle with fellow enthusiasts—Austin Psych Fest is back for its 15th anniversary! From April 28–30, 2023, in Austin, Texas, you can look forward to a lineup starring Toro Y Moi, Melody's Echo Chamber, Yves Tumor, Cuco, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. It was in March 2008 that The Red Barn North hosted this inaugural event (headliners included The Black Angels and Ringo Deathstarr Horse + Donkey). Now, fifteen years later, it's time to celebrate again as people gather together for another momentous weekend of psych fest fun! In 2013, this independent music festival began its sixth year at Carson Creek Ranch in Austin, Texas. Its concept was inspired by the 1960s' creative boom and festivals such as ATP and Primavera Sound; plus, they wanted to realize their own vision of a musical gathering. Through the years, it has become an acclaimed international event lasting for a full weekend that attracts people from around the globe. In 2015, Austin Psych Fest saw its name changed to "Levitation," paying homage to The 13th Floor Elevators, local psychedelic rock precursors who made history in Austin's music scene.
