Every year since 2006, the WOMEN IN JAZZ international jazz festival has taken place in Halle (Saale), Germany. The WOMEN IN JAZZ Festival in Central Germany has quickly become a renowned cultural event for contemporary music, recording an impressive 100,000 festival visitors in 2019. Most remarkably, the usual demographic of jazz fans was altered; over half of those attending were women!
