Spanning two weeks, the city of Hobart will come alive with public art displays, live music performances, and vibrant nocturnal activities. Their signature events are all coming back, including Winter Feast, Ogoh-Ogoh's Purging & Burning ritual for experiencing spiritual cleansing, Night Mass on two weekends, and finally, the Nude Solstice Swim event that marks the ending of this amazing festival after the longest night has passed.Dark Mofo is a wintertime celebration in Hobart, filled with majestic public art, delectable cuisine, fantastic music, a blazing fire, light shows, and captivating noises. Spanning the longest night of any Australian capital city every year, Dark Mofo uses age-old rituals to investigate ties between today's mythology and past customs. In religious traditions, both secular and sacred, darkness contrasted against the brightness, birth followed by death then eventually, new life also shows here. Due to its pagan traits and darker themes found throughout the festival, it has become associated with Tasmania's Gothic aesthetic expressed through literature or art.Dark Mofo respects and recognizes the palawa / pakana people as the original and continuous stewards of lutruwita's land, skies, and water. They bow to their ancestors' past and present, recognizing that sovereignty has never been yielded away.

On September 16th, 2023, Waterworks will showcase and honor the incomparable talent of London's electronic music scene at Gunnersbury Park, a superb location where industrial London meets nature. The day festival is dedicated to celebrating independent electronic music culture with an array of performances that are sure to inspire!London's music scene is a vibrant mix of sound and culture, but Waterworks noticed something missing. An outdoor summer platform was needed that would nurture emerging artists while giving established stars from the electronic genre room to shine - all chosen mainly from within the UK's abundant talent pool. This new stage presents a delightful combination of seasoned experts and fresh upstarts ready to make their mark!The selection of music at the Waterworks Festival centers around various dance styles, genres, and flavors that have come together to shape musical culture in the UK. In an awe-inspiring parkland area near West London, industrial edges provide an incredible backdrop for this fantastic festival.
