Blackpool International Soul Festival, the North West's largest International Soul Festival, will feature a remarkable lineup of globally recognized artists performing over three days. The festival will take place at the Blackpool Winter Gardens, where various exclusive American Northern and Modern Soul legends will captivate the audience with their performances.The 7-room soul festival, which typically occurs in June annually, has been rescheduled to September 2023. This change is to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Wigan Casino All-Nighters' opening night, a famous event. Despite this alteration, the festival will still include all of the usual attractions introduced during its initial launch in June 2016.There will be various music genres at the event in different areas: Soulful Dance in Olympia, 60s Soul, Mod & Ska in Pavilion, Contemporary Luxury Modern Soul in the Dereham Lounge, and Connoisseurs Crossover and Rare Groove in the Old Vic. In addition, there will be a filmed documentary premiere called "Wigan Casino – The Legacy" and a Q&A session with a Wigan Casino DJ who will launch his autobiography at the event.In addition to the music at the festival, there will be events at the Wigan Casino and Mr/M's sessions in the Empress Ballroom and the Spanish Hall. The festival will also include special reunion sessions for Blackpool Mecca, The Manchester Ritz All-Dayers, The Twisted Wheel, and 'The Tent' 70s soul session throughout the weekend.The first Northern Soul All-Nighter was launched in Wigan, Lancashire, early Sunday, September 23rd, 1973. Around 600 people attended the event, and it became famous worldwide over the following eight years until December 6th, 1981.
