The Afro-Latino Festival in Thor Park, Genk (Belgium), is a vibrant celebration of tropical music and culture. For over two decades, the festival has proudly showcased some of the best talents from Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean islands, and Southern Europe - showcasing their incredible live performances and unique dances and atmosphere!
For the past 23 years, Afro-Latino Festival has been an integral part of celebrating the unique contributions that Afro-Latinos have made to society. This year's multi-day event will include networking sessions, workshops on culture and education, artist showcases, and culinary presentations. It is also an excellent opportunity for socially aware organizations working in communities around Afro-Latino cultures to showcase their work.
The purpose of the Afro-Latino Festival is to celebrate and honor the African heritage of individuals from Latin America and the Caribbean by providing a safe, supportive atmosphere.
Annually, Afro-Latino Festival celebrates the International Decade for People of African Descent declared by the United Nations (2015-2024). Three foundational principles are the cornerstone of this decade's ethos: justice, recognition, and development.
