Experience the exciting atmosphere of the 48th Alaska Folk Festival, which will be held at two prominent venues, Juneau Arts & Culture Center (JACC) and Juneau-Douglas High School Yadaa.at Kalé Auditorium, on April 10-16, 2023!
Alaska Folk Festival is held annually in April and features over a week of free, live music! 15 acts perform for 4 hours each night and draw lots of attendees. Anyone can participate in its immense festivities, whether you're local or coming from out of town.
As one of the largest, longest-running festivals in Alaska, the festival celebrates and supports all amateur and professional musicians. Participants are accepted without any audition – simply submit an application to perform on the main stage! Although no payment is given for performances, there will be one exception - each year, the Folk Festival Board selects a Guest Artist who will receive monetary compensation for their performance.
