As the saying goes, success is often found when the right people meet at the right moment; this story was no different. In 2004, Moonshine Bluegrass Band (FRA) graced La Roche sur Foron's town square with their performance. On mandolin and guitar, that day was Christopher Howard-Williams, who has been living in La Roche since 2000. Some days after the show, he visited Roland Jobard—the mayor of La Roche sur Foron's cultural attaché—to inquire if they would be interested in hosting a bluegrass festival. And the rest is history.
