Founded in 2010, California Roots Festival is held at Monterey County Fairgrounds - a place whose history will forever be remembered as it was once home to Jimi Hendrix's iconic "setting his guitar on fire" performance back in 1967 during the classic Monterey Pop Festival.

Dubbed the biggest reggae-rock festival in the global landscape, this annual event is one of America's largest reggae festivals.

When the California Roots Festival first began, it was just a one-day event headlined by Dirty Heads and Tribal Seeds. This festival has grown exponentially, with three full days of activities drawing in more than 11,000 fans each day!
