In 1999, Glenda Lynn from Texas started off the Windmill Festival by performing on a flatbed semi-trailer to an audience of 300 people. Since then, it has blossomed into the world's largest outdoor music festival, with thousands of attendees from 37 states! The majestic county road rising behind the stage creates the illusion of tour buses and traffic driving over it! In addition to this remarkable spectacle, a hundred-year-old house features a wrap-around porch for stars to relax while waiting for their performance slots. Not only that, but there are even more attractions, including 19 drinking fountains under the covered bridge, extreme bull riding alongside top regional bands, and plenty of food vendors offering delicious treats and beer tents with hundreds of different options.
