Cotton Fest

Cotton Fest, a festival showcasing South African talent with exhilarating performances from local artists, musicians, rappers, and DJs, returns to its home in the Edwardian-era The Station train station in Newtown for its fifth edition in 2024. Experience an extraordinary event celebrating talented individuals and their creativity at this incredible venue!

Launched by the late rapper Riky Rick, this festival offers three main stages: The Cotton Stage presenting headline performers; the Bettr Stage, dedicated to up-and-coming talent from different genres; and lastly, the Jägermeister Stage, showcasing house music, electronic beats, and Amapiano vibes.

Not only can you enjoy the fantastic lineup of live music, but there is also a pop-up basketball court for those who love shooting hoops and an outdoor skating ramp! Plus, you can finish off your day with a stroll through a fashion studio offering unique accessories or by taking in the delicious smells from various food stalls. Enjoy all this while sipping drinks from one of the many available stands.

Last year's remarkable music lineup featured South African luminaries like Grammy Award-winning Black Coffee, A -Reece, Casper Nyovest, Focalistic, DJ Maphorisa, Young Stunna, and Sjava, among other renowned artists.
