Dicky Woodstock Popfestival

Since 1989, Dicky Woodstock Popfestival has been a yearly music event in Steenwijkerwold that used to be held at Baars until 2004. This renowned music festival is always celebrated during the first weekend of August and began as a one-day event in 1989. Over time, it has evolved into an impressive three-day extravaganza that young and old attend each year!

Throughout the years, Dicky Woodstock has welcomed a wide array of renowned and emerging acts from across the globe. International icons such as Slade, Middle Of The Road, Fortunes, Chuck Berry, and Kim Wilde have graced its stage alongside Dutch favorites like Golden Earring, Rowwen Héze, Anouk, Normaal, and Di-rect, not to mention local/regional talent!

Dicky Woodstock is the epitome of a traditional rural party. In addition to its 'Popfestival', there are many country-style activities such as Zwientie Tikk'n, Trekkertrek competitions, Autorodeos, Ski jumping with cars, and Hot Air Balloon Cow. Every year The board works hard to come up with something new and exciting for attendees! Family Day on Saturday, in particular, offers numerous side attractions that make it an event not soon forgotten.
