Dr. Ralph Stanley’s Hills of Home Festival

Dr. Ralph Stanley's Hills of Home Festival has been a treasured bluegrass music tradition since 1970, and it was Dr. Ralph himself who wanted his son, Ralph II, to manage the festival in 2012 - which he did with great pride.

To honor his father's legacy and bring joy to fans worldwide, Ralph II continues to deliver exceptional performances by some of the most excellent bluegrass musicians there are! By doing so faithfully each year since taking over managing duties from his dad, this yearly event will forever serve as a reminder of legendary Dr. Stanley's impact on traditional style Bluegrass music!

On the 51st anniversary of Dr. Ralph Stanley's Hills of Home Festival, visitors will experience four days filled with captivating music from banjos and mandolins atop some of the most breathtaking mountains you have ever seen! Join this festival celebrating this cherished tradition from May 24th to 27th, 2023.

The lineup of Dr. Ralph Stanley's Hills of Home Festival 2023 is truly spectacular. There will be performances by outstanding bluegrass performers, such as Tweed, Marty & Danny Lee Davis Band, Little Roy & Lizzie, Blue Highway, Tim White & Troublesome Hollow, and Clinch Mountain Echo! Plus, Clark Shifflett and The Borrowed Mules add even more enchantment to the show with their brilliant performances and many other incredible acts.
