Festival Micro Clima, one of two annual Associação Micro Clima projects, was established in 2017 by a close-knit group of friends working with SMUP - Sociedade Musical União Paredense. Since its founding, the festival has grown immensely and now features many renowned musical and plastic artists worldwide. This eclectic event aims to provide visitors with diverse programs that transcend genre or artistic expression. For two days, this festival strives to unite generations, cultures, and localities under one unified roof of transdisciplinarity and multiculturalism. All are welcome in an open atmosphere that ensures everyone feels included in the festivities.
This year, the 5th edition of Festival Micro Clima will be commemorated with a grand celebration. The event embraces new talents and stands out for its vibrant musical and artistic core. It features a characteristic poster with established artists such as Pongo and the EU.CLIDES, Ganso, or Progressivu and upcoming musicians like Soluna, Extrazen, Atalaia Airlines, and M3DUSA are irrefutable evidence of the current paradigm shift in artistry.
Festival Micro Clima isn't just about the music. It continues to shine a spotlight on visual art as well, showcasing installations by João Madureira and João Campolargo Teixeira, along with Eugénia Burnay, Luísa Tudela, Margarida Conceição and Ricardo Oliveira in unconventional settings. This year they are taking it one step further by commissioning these artists to make artistic interventions in the bathrooms! Year in, and year out, Mariana Tudela and Pedro Fernandes continue to astonish with their incredible scenography of the Festival Micro Clima stage. Their innovative designs are a defining symbol for what makes this annual festival so remarkable.
In addition, The Festival Micro Clima is devoted to revolutionizing the notion of cultural attractions in outer regions of the capital. It features a versatile, high-quality program, creating new centers and strengthening emotional bonds between localities and communities.
